Re: roaming cats

Ahhh--I can see the problems. In Florida, there is a very good program for
feral cats. We are taking one in this afternoon, as a matter of fact. We
have been calling him "Too Tom," but in honor of what will happen to him
today, his name will transform into "Was Tom" very shortly. They charge a
minimal fee and give the cat back to you to release again--but it is an
immunized, fixed cat that you are releasing back into the wild--or your
barn. They even supply the cages to transport the animals; you pay a $50.00,
returnable deposit on the cage. All in all, the whole program, fixing and
immunizing, costs you less than $50. So it's well worth it if you have
"domestic" cats whom you want to protect from being exposed to various
diseases.

Best,

Miranda
