Re: Marketing Problems For Rain Gardens

Hi Folks:
I must say I haven't heard of Rain Gardens prior to this discussion either. (Atlantic Canada area). But when I did a web search in Canada I found that it has been around for a while in Quebec, Ontario, & Manitoba. Probably because they are more prone to need it than we are. Sounds like a great plan though and look forward to learning more about it. I'm a native plant fan anyway, but wouldn't hesitate to use any plant that likes wet feet.
Cheers

Hi Caron and welcome to the group.

Here in arid Southern California (we got a whopping 4" of rain last
year while our average rainfall is 10") I've never even heard of rain
  gardens.

But, I have heard of Permaculture which is not new at all - I was
trained in Permaculture techniques when I worked at the Integral
Urban House in Berkeley back in the 1970s.
