Re: Invitation to connect on LinkedIn

 LinkedIn *can* be a good networking tool - if it's used correctly.  The
idea is to connect with people that you know personally or have worked with,
so that you can build extended professional networks.  Unfortunately, a lot
of people don't get the idea or don't pay attention to what they are
doing and they send blanket invitations to all of the email addresses in
their contact list.

I use LinkedIn in my other, non-garden writing life with a lot of success.
I hate to see people misusing the technology and giving it a bad rap.
