Maybe not crazy enough but grow your eggplant in containers no more than 18" across and and about 12" deep. I've had the best results from glazed ceramic pots. They out produce those I've grown in wine barrels and earlier than those planted in the ground. Ok, toss it in the scrap heap Doreen. I'm enjoying reading others tips.
