	Baker, a Detroiter, was made famous back in the seventies  by WJR  
radio giant J P McCarthy. As a new gardener I hung on his every word  
and gave it a try. My tomato died. I never believed anything he said  
after that.  He also suggested adding nails for iron and matches for
