Re: signing books.


Good story, Jeff.

As publishers say, a signed book is a sold book. That is because it is not 
returnable to the publisher.

I remember getting to one Garden Show early and signing a bunch of books. I 
did my duty, one hour at their booth, later that day. When I was almost 
finished, a guy came up with a huge smile on his face. He had gotten my book 
for half price because someone had written in it. When I turned to the page 
to sign it, I realized it was me!
