Re: Pittsburgh

Things to love about GWA 2014:
The workshops
The garden tours
The great planning (it all went so smoothly)
The handout list of all the gardens we visited, especially owner contact information. That is hugely valuable. Now we can thank the homeowners and we can contact them for stories (get permission, additional information), etc.
TWO, count ‘em, two key note speakers.
A comfortable base hotel
Another great trade show
Generous breakfast hosts (Phipps Conservatory was particularly special for our off-site breakfast, but huge thanks also to Scotts Miracle Gro who is such a faithful and generous supporter of GWA)
Lots else that I’m not thinking of right now

Thing that was not so good:
The box lunches (repeated turkey sandwiches filled with unhealthy processed turkey, too much bread, little or no lettuce or other vegetable, potato chips, no side salad). Please GWA 2015 people, give us the experience of the delicious, healthy, fresh food California is famous for (a turkey and avocado sandwich made with FRESH turkey and lots of lettuce - a “turcado” - would be most welcome).

In short, the important things were fabulous. Thank you Kirk Brown, Denise Schreiber, and your entire team for giving us such a fun, valuable, and well-planned time. We are deeply grateful for your hard work, creativity, and outside-the-box thinking. The conference was happily memorable!
