I am willing and interested in continuing as a list owner/techstuff
administrator indefinitely.
This list is important and I suspect there are many subscribers who prefer
it to Facebook or Linkdin.
The day of the mailing has re-arrived :-) It offers features not found in
social media, blogs or webforums.
I have heard many people say this recently. They prefer a list to social
media. In addition, email, along with RSS, is used
constantly by prominent websites for those interested in keeping up with
their publications.

I REALLY hope you won't shut it down. I have a fair amount of time invested
in this list and
was hoping to enjoy it for years to come. If you can't find new list owners
then let me run it
by myself and I will put out regular calls for co-owners. I hope this is an
acceptable option.
If the GWAA decides not to be associated with it any longer then I could
keep it going for
garden writers who want to use it but remove any reference to GWAA in the
list name and homepage.
I rejoined Facebook recently and was very disappointed; maybe it is
possible o configure settings to make it more useful and less noisy.

Not at all. People are returning to them from FB and other places because
they are easy to use,
work really well and are reliable.
