Lisa, we can all make more of an effort to make a brief reference to the opinion or message we are reacting to and who it is from, without copying everything in the whole chain. Also, we can use a subject line that tells what we're talking about, instead of something vague. As communicators, we can be brief but be clear.

Common sense and taking an extra minute to edit before hitting "send" will help. 

Many people read their emails on a handheld device, and for some of us, all the posts with the same subject line are lumped together in a way that can drive us nuts.
One good thing has happened already. Lawrence has condensed the GWL list info at the end of each post to fewer lines of text. That counts when it is accidentally repeated over and over.

I understand how some folks would like original posts deleted however, at times it provides insight into what someone was referring to. There must be another way to deal with this...
