Re: [GWL]: zone 5 - still blooming
December 1 in southeastern PA: 60+ degrees, sunny, weirdly beautiful October
weather. The hunters are out in force saving our gardens from Bambi. Major
problem is, the deer harvest is so huge it's overwhelming the butchers who
turn Bambi into venison, and the weather's so warm the carcasses won't keep.
We need two things here, badly: (1) Rain, and (2) Cold! We're many inches
below normal rainfall for the year. If the weather suddenly decides to make
up the deficit in the remaining 4 weeks of 2001 we'll all be swimming,
dodging dead deer.
