Re Jo Ellen's observation:

I  have been shooting digital for a long time, having basically given 
up on slides.  I seem to be a far better photographer with my digital 
camera in my hands -- must be the camera!  But anyway, I have run 
into this problem and we've touched on it a bit in previous 
discussions: How do folks who shoot digital deal with the issue of 
not having the proper display equipment?  Renting an LCD projector is 
about $300/day -- far more than most people are willing to swallow. 
Doing digital to slide dupes is about $4/slide, which adds up when 
you are preparing for a 45 or 60 minute talk.

Any other ideas?
