Actually my service is through my cable company. Much better there... we have

Truthfully, John, I was laughing a little at your message. In my day job, I'm 
a computer scientist working on secure communication services.

I like AOL for many reasons. I had AOL first (a long time ago) and then 
switched to cable modem when available in my area (for speed). I switched AOL 
to minimum service at that time (because of the features I liked and because 
everyone had my AOL address)... BUT... I switched back to full-service (i.e., 
unlimited AOL hours) after my cable connection was down for about the 3rd 
time (and it was DOWN for a week or so).
