Thanks to everyone who made gardenening catalog recommendations. Perhaps you 
could help me with another question. Does anyone know of a good source for 
gardening statistics? I'm looking for:
   --the number of gardeners in the U.S. or percentage of the population 
that gardens
   --that number or percentage broken down by regions
   --how much money is spent annually on gardening in    the U.S.
   --the increase or decline over recent years
   --how it compares with the number of gardeners in other countries
   --numbers on how gardening has historically increased during times of 
national crisis or shifted from ornamental to food production
