RE: [GWL]: Croton Question
Here in MS and LA, zones 8 & 9, crotons are not hardy. Though the same plant
(Codiaeum variegatum var. Pictum) is the same, the cultivars are endless and
the ones sold here are in a foil wrap next to the Norfolk pines decorated
for the holiday. Folks take them home, leave the foil on, and put the plant
in the living room because it's pretty. Then they wonder why the leaves fall
off. I am not in any way, shape or form making fun of my audience, but next
to Zebra plant (Aphelandra), Croton gives them the least satisfaction.
