     I've said this before, but when I started this list, I wasn't trying to
do anything world shaking - just fill what seemed like a distinct need.  I
never had any idea I was going to get such an education.  Not just in trying
to make the list work, but in garden writing and politics.
    It's also a very humbling experience because the longer the list goes
on, the more I realize how LITTLE I really know about all of it.  Makes me
feel less like a garden writer and more like an overblown letter writer.  If
I hadn't had a bunch of articles already published over the years, the
presence of many of you with obviously superior ability would have scared me
out of trying.
    In any case, I am grateful for how much the list has blossomed and how
many issues and areas have been/are being explored.  I get the feeling that
many of them never got proper coverage before and they are getting aired for
the first time.  
    My hope is that all of this is truly helping EVERYONE on the list -
writers who are just starting to long-established wordcrafters.  If it is,
I've just gotten my Christmas gift.
