Plant a Row for the Hungry

Doreen and all,
I am starting a Plant a Row for the Hungry program in my county. I know you have considerable experience with this, so I'm looking for advice. My column last week explained the program and set things up for an early spring kick-off at our local Weekend Gardener Expo, sponsored by the U. of IL Master Gardener program. I have the packet from PAR and have spoken with Jacqui Hertieau, PAR director. I have the local master gardeners on board and am writing a proposal asking my newspaper to be a local sponsor. My goal is to have them commit to an ad campaign, but what else should I request of them? Any other advice?

I'm writing this on the list in case others might be interested in starting Plant a Row programs in their communities. If anyone else has experience with PAR, I'd appreciate all the advice I can get.
