Re: Horizontal Deer Fencing

We don't have deer in Anchorage, only moose. Some folks here have taken
tires, used of course, and laid them in the path moose use. They won't go
near the area because it makes it too difficult to work. The Alaska Railroad
uses this technique, especially in deep snow when they can see the paths
used.

I don't think laying the fence down will work unless the deer can clearly
see it. It would have to be lifted a foot off the ground.

And, I might add, count your blessings you only have deer. They are really
small....:)
