Rich,
Although I've been using a very basic (Kodak DC4800) digital for a couple of years for my newspaper column, I still don't really understand digital photography. My digital images are fine for newspaper work, but quality doesn't come close to when I shoot film with my 35 slr. I'd like to upgrade to more professional digital equipment, but my eyes glaze over when I try to figure out what I want. I need a better understanding of digital photography and the available eqpuipment. I'm guessing others are drawing on experience from the dark ages who might be trying to drag themselves into the 21st century.
