Hi Doreen,

We've been delighted with Thinkhost.com

web host.  They offer great technical support and are incredibly patient
with us as we try to figure out new technologies, software.  

As for software, we're using blogging software (Movable Type) for web
creation because it allows us to build a site that is both aesthetically
pleasing and very easy to update. It allows us to accept Paypal payments,
sell books (through Amazon), etc., although there's been quite a bit of
trial and error getting all that to work.
