Re: email newsletters...honestly
Well,
I am the author of a monthly newsletter and photo. I send it out to
only those who sign up on my web site, so hope that they remain interested.
Try to keep the words to 450 to 550 for a reasonable read time, but have
something of interest to say. Mostly what I send out are plant portraits
along with my experience gained from growing that particular plant in my
garden.
I receive several from trade sites, wholesalers, but get irritated
when I begin receiving all kids of other "stuff" besides the newsletter I
signed up for. Just because I shook hands does not also mean I want a hug.
My guess is newsletters are about the same as magazines... I receive
far more than I can read each month.... but hate to give any up. I do at
least scan and read individual articles catching my eye.

Subject: [GWL] email newsletters...honestly
Anyone in business is frequently advised to have a newsletter that is
emailed on a regular basis.
I'm just curious, but I think that the answers would be interesting to those
on this list who write and send such newsletters.
all the best,
C.L.
