Re: Invincibelle 'Spirit' (Pink Annabelle Hydrangea) - Ideaswanted
Hi, Tim!
There's a relatively new Breast Cancer initiative launched by Dr. Susan Love called The Army of Women (http://www.armyofwomen.org)<http://www.armyofwomen.org/> to get more women involved in the research to find a cure. They need to get a total of one million women of all types including breast cancer survivors into these studies and are still short.
I think you can come up with a lottery system or some other approach to give a plant to each new woman who signs up to participate. Getting a free plant might go a long way to getting more enrollees.

Subject: [GWL] Invincibelle 'Spirit' (Pink Annabelle Hydrangea) - Ideaswanted
I'm hoping for some ideas.
Spring Meadow Nursery is preparing to launch new plant through Proven
Winners called INVINCIBELLE 'Spirit.' It is the first ever pink mop-head
hydrangea aborescens (i.e. a pink form of 'Annabelle'). Growers will get
liners this coming spring so it should be a retail in spring of 2010.
We will be working with the Breast Cancer Research Foundation as a Pink
Partner to raise money to find a cure. A portion of sales will be donated
with a minimum annual donation of $10,000.
I have a 100-200 gallon stock plants that I can release in June 2009 and
want to use them in a way that can raise even more money for breast cancer
research.
I'm looking for ideas.
If someone comes up with a great, usable idea I would certainly share a
plant.
Sincerely,
Tim Wood
