I don't know if this helps you as it's not in action yet, but
www.PlantConcierge.com will be launched early 2009 and it will contain
listings not only of people and organizations who offer gardening services
but also retail suppliers (physical and mail order). Eventually products
will also be added to the mix and linked to listed stores that stock them.

As with every new project it will take a little time to become heavily
populated. I cannot guarantee the up-to-dateness of the information as those
listed will be responsible for maintaining their own profiles, but as a
charging system will be implemented within a year of PlantConcierge.com
going live I would expect a good level of maintenance.

I'm just finishing up a section of my new book and am looking for some good
resources for directory style listing of Canadian gardening resources.   I
have Margaret Bennet-Alder's book but if any of you know of *up-to-date* and
maintained lists of mail-order companies or garden resources, I'd like to
promote them.   The key here is updated regularly as the lists I've seen in
a brief search do not seem to be updated or maintained.
Any help would be appreciated.
