Re: digital magazines

You could go the route of The American Gardener, which has its issues on the 
AHS website.  They require a username and password to access most of their 
articles.  The password and username are published in the print magazine. 
Taking that model a step further, if you want to publish solely online, 
charge a fee for the password via PayPal.  Offer one article for free in 
each issue to entice a would-be subscriber.  That's what AHS does.
