GWA Awards - procedures
It seems to me that having entrants for blog writing print out the pages of
their blogs is counterproductive. It would be easier for all involved if
those entrants merely submitted the urls of the individual posts. Then each
judge could look at the entries individually, without having to be in the
same room for Day 1. Moreover, a post is best experienced online. Many
excellent posts incorporate slideshows or videos, which, while not
technically "writing," add to the writing of the post as a whole. Or maybe
a blog post is a unique animal, a hybrid between writing, photography,
video, and interactive media. I have a question which the rules do not
answer: are the comments to a post consider part of the post? Many times
the author of the post will expand further on the topic, or will comment on
a side aspect.
