Re: Blackberry or IPhone
Thanks Nan. I'm thinking about it. I know unlocking the phone voids the warranty, but my iPhone is out of warranty anyway, so I might be willing to take the chance.
I'm just not sure it's worth the trouble or if it would save me enough money to be worth the hassle. Of course I know it's cheaper than using my phone with the AT&T add one contract for usage abroad (crazy expensive) but is it cheaper than buying a $30 phone and a local sim card when I arrive in S.A.?
I'm not tech-phobic, but your description of not for the faint of heart isn't exactly encouraging. I'd love to hear from anyone who's done it, including your husband.
