Too bad you can't get to Maui. They have several Protea farms that are interesting
and a very special Ali'i Kula Lavender Farm. It is located on the side of Haleakala.
The sunrise from Haleakala is to die for...!

Have a wonderful visit. Take a deep breath and smell the flowers everywhere...!

It's looking like I may be in Hawaii (main island) in the end  of March.  
I'd have no contacts there and was wondering if anyone on the  list knew of any
extension people there that I might contact.  I'd like to  visit a pineapple
plantation (probably not Dole), a coffee plantation and a  commercial orchid growing
operation.

Also wide open for any other suggestions of sites to visit  that would make good
article material.
