Re: A Little Night Gardening
This is not news to anybody who's run a nursery or garden center. :-) It was quite common to have women pay with a chortle, "Hope he doesn't look at the card this month!" to "I want to pay $25 of that on my card and I'll give you the other $250 in cash - he doesn't know I've been saving it up." to "Let 'er go, this is my plant card and he doesn't know I have it." The best one was the regular customer who left with several thousand dollars of perennials saying, "He just bought a new boat and motor - this is mine."
While amusing, it always left me a little flat - depressed that this had to be done.
I also note the stories of guys "helping" with pruning shears are legendary for creating huge comment lists when they hit the websites. LOL
Guys may need a new pr agent or twenty....
