Re: A Little Night Gardening


Well,
Being a nursery owner, this is all very much a reality. I have always said I
need an Hooters franchise on the edge of the property. When husband and wife
show up here together, husband goes to the Hooters for a beer and
entertainment, while the wife shops for plants. I would probably have a much
higher profit from my Hooters franchise than the nursery. 
Having said all that, and having fun with the conversation going on here...
that roll gets reversed quite frequently. I often see the wife controlling
the purse strings during plant purchases.

This is not news to anybody who's run a nursery or garden center. :-)   It
was quite common to have women pay with a chortle, "Hope he doesn't look at
the card this month!" snip....

Guys may need a new pr agent or twenty....
