Re: LS Designers/Plantspeople Suggestions Please
Thanks to everyone who made a suggestion about replacing my tree. I have
a much shorter list now, tho I have yet to finish perusing Don Leopold's
Native Plants of the Northeast. Hawthorn 'Winter King' is a strong
contender since it has so many attractive features, but I'm concerned
that it may be a little too petite. Thinking about some type of Magnolia,
Sassafrass, Pin Cherry, Stewartia, Box Elder, or a smaller Tulip Poplar
hybrid. Each has its advantages.
Merry Christmas!
Lois
