Re: Press Release Punctuation

What a funny thread. We were taught in journalism school that a period was always followed by two spaces. Or was that English literature? I can't remember but my brain has had two spaces cemented in space and every editor I've had for the past 15 years doesn't even bother me about it..they just remove one from my copy. Even as I type this...two spaces. I can't help myself.

Subject: [GWL] Press Release Punctuation

I thought I knew these things, but can someone tell me whether a press release
should have one space after the period in each sentence, or two? I am trying to
send one. In books, it is just one space, I have been told. That saves paper.

Betty
