Re: Press Release Punctuation
We all learned two spaces when we learned to type on typewriters.That changed with computers. Work in publishing, such as a newspaper or magazine, and you quickly learn to use only one space.
This is why there is a Find and Replace function for editors to use. Would be nice if writers would use it before turning in copy, especially once they know that only one is needed.

I can't remember but my brain has had two spaces cemented in space and every editor I've had for the past 15 years doesn't even bother me about it..they just remove one from my copy. Even as I type this...two spaces. I can't help myself.
