Re: [GWL]: Symposium Plants


Yes, it's also from Englemann and it's listed in the literature they
gave out as a Calathea, but that is incorrect.  Bissher described it as
a low-light tropical, which I found suspicious because the variegation
is so high.  The undersides of the leaves are actually magenta.  There's
a picture at the Englemann website but it doesn't do the plant justice.

I have a better shot of the plant if you need an image.  I've been
growing it under two different sets of conditions and have found that it
likes high humidity but grows well in less than bright light.
