Re: [GWL]: Can we develop a database of Garden Magazines?

A database of all gardening mgazines, not just regional ones, would
be a great idea and a very useful resource. It would be valuable to
have information on Canadian, British, Australian, New Zealand and
other magazines, as well as national and regional American ones. This
would help not only as a list of possible markets, but also as
resources for research on gardening in particular regions and
countries - especially useful for authors of books to be published in
a number orf different countries.

I would suggest that the following information would be useful.

Title
Address
Phone
Fax
Email
Website
Cover price
Circulation
Geographical area of coverage
Editor
Art/Picture Editor

This data for the various countries could then be combined into one
file for posting to this list or for putting up on any future GWL
website, and/or the GWAA website and/or the GWG website.

I will undertake to compile information on British magazines. We just
need some people to take responsibility for other countries. The US
could perhaps be split into national, east and west to spread the
load.

Any thoughts?
