RE: Digest for Gardenwriters@topica.com, issue 356

Hi, All

I've been enjoying the various postings - it feels as if people are getting
slightly more 'comfortable' with each other.

I have a request - if anyone hears of any catalogue or plant list/tag
writing opportunities (doesn't it sound absolutely ghastly??), please let
me know. I know most garden writers would be bored stiff with this kind of
stuff, but....I seem to have a knack for it. 

Yesterday while at a wholesale nursery I proofread the plant list upside
down, and found three or four mistakes on one page. My favourite has got to
be this:

Stachy's - on one line, and then "Hewitts Double" on the next line, missing
its apostrophe. Gadzooks. Another favourite of mine is "ramosa" instead of
"racemosa" after Cimicifuga. Not only is it wrong on the plant list, but
also wrong on the zillions of fancy plant tags they have printed! Am I
crazy? Do I need a bigger problem, or what?  

Evidently they are printed somewhere in Atlanta - I think it is Van
Bloem's....anyhow, I figure if I don't put it out there, no one will know I
can do these things. Upside down, even.
