Hello;

Being a member of this list for about a year! I am ready to weigh in on what
I do.

I am part of John Scheepers and Van Engelen Bulb Companies!

We have started a new venture into the seed business called John Scheepers
Kitchen Garden Seeds with the help of a few people to name a few including
particularly Sharon Hanna(who wrote all product description and
introductions) and Barbara Damrosch to name a few!

We offer vegetable and herb seeds for the kitchen gardener from a different
perspective unfound of today from the cooks perspective on what to do with
what you have produced and how to prepare it!

    On checking the membership list, I see that there has been a surge of
new members recently.  I welcome all of you and hope you enjoy the
Gardenwriters List.  We would like to get to know you, so why not take a
minute to tell us something about yourselves.
    This is one list where spam, of a sort, is not only allowed, but
encouraged.  That is, if you have an announcement of a new book, a product
related to horticulture, etc. feel free to tell us something about it.  If
it is a lengthy one, you can also send a URL where we can go see it.
    And if you have a website, be sure to include it after your name so the
rest of us can see it.  It's a good way for all of us to get to know each
other.
    Since garden writing means photos, we have set up a special site for
those. That way, letters to the list can be free of attachments that might
cause problems.  For that information, just look at the footer on this
message - it comes on ALL GWL letters.
    Also there is a site with searchable archives for the list.  If you
don't need to search, you can go to the Topica site and see the regular
archives there.
    We do ask that when you reply, be sure of who you are replying to.  That
is, if the reply is suitable for the whole list, go ahead and send it to us.
 If you are replying to just one person, be sure you have addressed your
reply just to that person.  That helps us all by not overloading our
mailboxes with material not relevant to the list.
    We hope this list is a polite, pleasant, educational, and professional
one for all the members.
