Many years ago I lived near a greenhouse that forced daffodils for the
local cut flower trade. Small operation. I suspect there are many such
scattered around.

After they cut the blooms, they had no more use for the bulbs. I would
take them off their hands and plant them along roadsides. The greenhouse
is long since gone, but as far as I know, the daffodils are still
blooming.
