If any of you are doing full color magazine page design I would appreciate being contacted off list at S*@exoticgardening.com I have a new client who has asked me to tell her what it will cost for me to do page design on my articles that I will be writing. I have only done newspaper design with Quark which paid $5 per page. The new client will require that I purchase InDesign to do this with. Also, since it is full color I will need to learn about high resolution and correct color formats (which they said my Quark design was not). Secondly, for a publication just starting out what is a fair rate of pay for articles and photos? From the newspaper I write for I am used to $5 per photo. How does this rate compared to magazine prices? I am usually required to give photos with my articles. Since this will be a long term job I would like to have separate prices for the two. Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I told her I would get back with her ASAP. Thanks! Sheri Do you like gardening?
