Re: any great gardens near French Lick, IN?
Hello Sharon,
You may be interested in knowing that there is a very nice little
publication for the state of Indiana published by Foellinger Freimann
Botanical Conservatory. Title is Gardens & Jaunts - A Directory of Gardens
and Related Sites of Indiana, Michigan and Ohio" I find it helpful when I
am going to an area I am not familiar with.
If you are going to French Lick then I assume you are aware of West
Baden? Both are connected in history. Speaking of history, look for lots of
it in the area. Tourism is based upon the "good old days of the 20's and
30's" Big gambling and health cure area. Gardens or no, the area itself is
beautiful.
I am not all that far from French Lick. Call ahead and make an
appointment. Will show you the gardens, talk plants.
