Is anyone using a plug-in like "Trackback Validator" to deal with all the spam that's been plaguing blogs these days?

Despite the fact that I get just a few true comments/links, I'm getting 4 or 5 bogus trackbacks--spam--daily on new and old blog entries.

Trackback Validator is a product developed by Rice University that essentially identifies and eliminates trackbacks that go to sites that don't LINK BACK to yours. As a research tool, it also forwards the offending trackbackers to Rice for them to analyze. 

They say that it has dropped spam trackbacks to -0- on their sites...
