Re: Did anyone else get this dubious request?

Hi Everyone,

I, for one, am tired of winter. We had great sunshine today, but it was
chilly.

I just checked my blog email, and I also got this request. I'm not sure how
I will respond except that I don't use guest posters. I would probably
change that policy if an expert in the field wanted to post on my blog. Any
takers? :-)

I'll also tell her that blogs are highly personal. Hopefully, they reflect
the voice of their owner, and therefore, guest posts often don't work. I
will also suggest she starts her own blog. You can start one for free, and
who knows, maybe I could learn something from her.

I get a lot of these kinds of requests. Most are the post for pay schemes,
but occasionally, someone is just trying to build their own career. What no
one seems to understand, is that blogging and building up a reader base, is
work. I may not get paid to blog, but I still work at it as if I do. I
don't want to give my reputation away.

Just my thoughts,
