Re: Top 10 gardening books of all time?


I'm not especially into lists of "bests" or "top 10s," but I would vote for 
 the following:
 
"Henry Mitchell on Gardening" (or subsequent Henry Mitchell  collections) 
because, though they were originally newspaper columns for the  Washington 
Post, these essays are still a joy to read as well as containing  good, 
down-to-earth information.
 
Likewise, anything by William Woys Weaver, but especially "Heirloom  
Vegetable Gardening." Weaver is a food historian and an extraordinary vegetable  
gardener with a gift for story-telling.
 
But I love lots of gardening-related books, including those by Sharon  
Lovejoy, Nancy Ondra, Rick Darke...
