Re: alstroemeria

        I really don't know how to answer or express an opinion on these pages. I usually get scolded. I have been growing Alstromeria lutea for at least 10 years. My clump is about 3' x 3'. It has spread to my next door neighbors yard. A fabulous plant that blooms throughout the summer and is dynamite as a cut flower. I live on a barrier island in MA just south of Boston (not the Cape) probably zone 6b or 7a. I have never been able to successfully divide the plant, but every year I have lots of seed.

I'm in a warm zone 6, and I or the winter killed 'Sweet Laura' three years in a
ow. What's the saying? Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me;
ool me three times, and I must be a real slow learner.
