Re: Impatiens Downy Mildew
This is an interesting discussion. Last year, I drove past a residence
that had once been a business, with a tiny parking lot in front and block
walls along the sides. The new owners had renovated the parking lot into
a circular drive and made a spectacular single-species show of
color-co-ordinated impatiens in and on every available surface, including
hanging baskets. It looked absolutely spectacular and managed to go the
whole growing season without being affected by the mildew. Perhaps it had
not reached us way up in Northern NJ? I only grew New Guinea impatiens
last year.
