deleting extraneous posts

Before our esteemed colleague from somewhere north of to heck and gone
responds, may I ever so subtly suggest we've forgotten our basic
list-etiquette of deleting all those extra posts and sig files and "stuff"
at the end of our posts.

If you simply hit return, you're adding a compost-load of text
(particularly with those who take summaries) to each reply.

Those who read on mobile devices have problems with this.

So please remember to delete extraneous material from the old posts before
you send reply.

With thanks for avoiding another crisis in communication I remain your
