Re: [GWL]: Top Selling Trees and Shrubs

Years ago I heard that Tam Juniper was the best selling 
shrub nationwide, because it is heat/cold/drought/salt 
tolerant -- it grows almost anywhere.
The wholesale growers deal in these numbers every day, so 
maybe try the largest producers, such as Hines, Monrovia 
and Color Spot. Ask for the Production Manager. Be 
prepared to be disappointed -- the best selling tree may 
be Fruitless Mulberry! It's a numbers game.
Another suggestion would be to contact the nursery trade 
associations. They may have these numbers at their 
fingertips. 
These may not give you the whole picture but may provide 
interesting sidebar info for your readers.--
