Re: [GWL]: trendy fruits & veggies

Can anyone suggest a couple of trendy, high cost fruits and/or veggies that
could be grown in the average home garden?

Mesclun--dead easy to grow and sells for $6 per pound and up at groceries.

Sugar snaps--prolific in cool climates and in the spring.

Colored tomatoes such as Green Zebra, Garden Peach (fuzzy and fruity like a
peach), any of the Russian blacks such as Black Prince, Black Krim, Black
from Tula, Green Grape and Banana Legs, to name a few. Wholesale growers
get $9 a pound for these from gourmet restaurants.
