And how many dogs and cats--not to mention other birds, including many species of songbirds whose numbers are diminishing--will eat their carcasses? As a strong believer in organics, and in a day and age when the dangers of chemical abuse are becoming increasingly understood and acknowledged, I think it is our responsibility as journalists to educate the public whenever possible. It takes constant self-vigilance, too, because the temptations to do otherwise are everywhere, starting with magazine and lecture fees.
