Thanks to all of you who realized that my choice of book titles -- 
Pretty Plants for Your Garden and Gardening for Squirrels -- was a joke. 
 It may, at times, seem real enough when I see Crocosmia coming up in 
the oddest places (squirrel-planted).  But then I look at our elegant, 
large, multi-stemmed Prunus cerasifera (squirrel-planted from a stand of 
'Thundercloud' nearby, and I realize that sometimes even squirrels can 
be good gardeners.
