[GWL]: garden writer groups

Are there other garden writer groups besides GWAA?  Right now their
membership fee is a tad prohibitive (2 kids in diapers, 1 on formula) but I
like the idea of joining something and having access to experts, databases,
etc.  I'd like to join GWAA someday - maybe next year if I keep sending out
queries like I have.
