Re: Apples?

Title: Re: [GWL] Apples?
That depends on what you consider an apple.  There is a small "apple" of sorts at the base of an apple blossom.  It becomes visible as a small fruit usually within a couple of weeks of petal fall.  If you need research on this, I'd suggest you go to http://www.nafex.org and join the North American Fruit Explorers.  They can give you tons of information on fruit.  Alternatively, look up the book "Apples For The 21st Century" by Warren Manhart.

Does anyone know what the earliest date (approximate) might be at which
apples would be visible on a tree?

Strange question, I realize, but I'm not much of an expert on fruit.

Thanks,
